This year the Golden Lion Group has adopted the TEENAGE CANCER TRUST as its chosen charity.  Keep an eye on this page to see what events are being held to raise money for the trust and also all information regarding events that have already occured - including the amounts raised.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THOSE WHOM TOOK PART IN THE TCT 20 MILE CHARITY BIKE RIDE THIS SUNDAY 11TH SEPT.  IT WAS AN AMAZING DAY HAD BY ALL, AND WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING IT SUCH A SUCCESS! (THOUGH SORE BUMS ALL ROUND EH?)

PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE TO SEE HOW MUCH WAS RAISED BY ALL THOSE THAT TOOK PART, AND THANKS TO ALL THE SITES FOR CONTRIBUTING!!!

The amounts raised so far are:

The Plough Inn - Rottingdean have raised an amazing £1676.00 to date (16/08/11) via their weekly meat raffle and with the Chairty Raffle night held on Saturday 23rd July 2011.  Keep up the good work guys.

The Ladies Mile held another fab event for the Teenage Cancer Trust on Saturday 13th August - The Mile Beer Festival.  They raised a wonderful £700 which along with their efforts on the Royal Wedding Event takes their total to a wooping £2110!!! Thanks to all the staff for their efforts :-)

Jan 22nd - The Longman - Comedy Night      £227.50

March - The Colonnade, Collection Tin           £24.55

April - The Longman - BHAFC vs Southampton Hospitality Ticket Auction  £150.00

Royal Wedding 29th April Fundraising Contributions

The Ladies Mile held a fantastic street party in honour of this historical day, with fun fair rides, discos and much more.  With all the support from the local area they raised a staggering £1410, in just 1 Day!  Amazing!!!  Thanks to all the staff for there amazingly hard work that day and to the local area for being so supportive of the event. 

The Cricketers held a raffle with some lovely prizes donated by local businesses.  The raffle raised an amazing £704.01!

 

  		 
  • CRICKETERS - Just a quick note to say thanks to John and the guys for saturday 5th.  I had a fab birthday and all my friends commented on how great the food was and that the staff and venue were perfect.  They really did you proud - they were very professional and also really friendly which is difficult to get right.

  • My wife and I have now been to The Plough (Rottingdean) 3 times for Sunday lunch. Without
    any doubt, they serve the best (by far) Sunday lunch around these parts.
    Tender lean meat and a lovely selection of veg. Highly recommended

  • My wife & i called in for a couple of drinks on Saturday nmight before dinner and this morning i realised that i had misplaced my mobile phone.  We called the Cricketers in the hope that it might have been found and, sure enough, a very nice young lady told us that it have been handed in.  We went along and picked it up.  Apart from feeling like a fool for losing the phone i am thrilled at the honesty of your staff and customers.  THANK YOU.  Great pub by the way.  MR DAVID EDWARDS - 27/11/2011

    Fantastic food....Thai during week and Sat and Roasts on Sunday. Best roast dinner in Brighton.....cooked perfectly every time!
