The Mile was built in the 1930’s originally as a hotel. This grand, brick built public house boasts many ‘art deco’ features which were popular at that time, including beautiful brass door fittings, intricate wood carvings and an illuminated stained-glass ceiling in the main servery area.

CRICKETERS - Just a quick note to say thanks to John and the guys for saturday 5th. I had a fab birthday and all my friends commented on how great the food was and that the staff and venue were perfect. They really did you proud - they were very professional and also really friendly which is difficult to get right.

My wife and I have now been to The Plough (Rottingdean) 3 times for Sunday lunch. Without
any doubt, they serve the best (by far) Sunday lunch around these parts.
Tender lean meat and a lovely selection of veg. Highly recommended

My wife & i called in for a couple of drinks on Saturday nmight before dinner and this morning i realised that i had misplaced my mobile phone. We called the Cricketers in the hope that it might have been found and, sure enough, a very nice young lady told us that it have been handed in. We went along and picked it up.
