Cricketers

The Cricketers has been immortalised by Graham Greene in his classic novel "Brighton Rock". In honour of that it was decided that the upstairs bar be refurbished in 2005 and re-named The Greene Room. The Greene Room is now home to some of the most spectacular memorabilia concerning Graham Greene and ‘Jack the Ripper’ and can certainly keep one entertained whilst enjoying a classic beverage.

Whilst keeping the traditional feel and standards of the rest of the estate, this bar has a modern twist that brings with it an extra appreciation for coffees and wines by day and cocktails by night. Funky fuscia lighting combined with creams and smooth browns help create a classically elegant ambience that is enjoyed by many.

Size and location lend themselves perfectly to private hire. For more details please do not hesitate to contact a manager on 01273 329472.

  • Wide range of Coffees, Wines, Champagnes and Cocktails

  • CRICKETERS - Just a quick note to say thanks to John and the guys for saturday 5th.  I had a fab birthday and all my friends commented on how great the food was and that the staff and venue were perfect.  They really did you proud - they were very professional and also really friendly which is difficult to get right.
Thanks again, Regards, Debbie Daly  - 11/11/2011
  • My wife & i called in for a couple of drinks on Saturday nmight before dinner and this morning i realised that i had misplaced my mobile phone.  We called the Cricketers in the hope that it might have been found and, sure enough, a very nice young lady told us that it have been handed in.  We went along and picked it up.  Apart from feeling like a fool for losing the phone i am thrilled at the honesty of your staff and customers.  THANK YOU.  Great pub by the way.  MR DAVID EDWARDS - 27/11/2011

  • My wife and I have now been to The Plough (Rottingdean) 3 times for Sunday lunch. Without
any doubt, they serve the best (by far) Sunday lunch around these parts.
Tender lean meat and a lovely selection of veg. Highly recommended

  • THE LONGMAN OF WILMINGTON - PATCHAM

Fantastic food....Thai during week and Sat and Roasts on Sunday. Best roast dinner in Brighton.....cooked perfectly every time!
